About Us - Management Committee

SLIG's Management Committee is a healthy mix of founding members and newer additions. Our total membership is 13, with six paces allocated to members representing Suffolk Forum, and six places allocated to members representing Lenadoon Forum. The three offices of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer rotate annually and each year each role alternates between a Suffolk repesentative and a Lenadoon representative, as stipulated by our Constitution. The remaining place on the Committee is a non-voting, advisory role given to an independant body/organisation.

Jean has lived all of her life in the Suffolk estate and describes it as ‘almost an idyllic place to live in' before the troubles started. She has been involved in community development work in Suffolk for over 30 years and was one of the founder members of Action for Community Employment, a community employment programme in the early 1980's which she eventually managed for 16 years.
