SLIG Recieves Community Relations Award

SLIG is delighted to announce that two of our founding members, Jean Brown and Renee Crawford, have been presented with the Community Relations Council's Practitioner of the Year Award.
Jean and Renee were invited to attend CRC's annual conference in April 09, and to their surprise were presented with the award in recognition of their owrk on the niterface over the past 20 years. It is a huge honour to be presented with this award and the two of them were delighted to receive it.
As Jean pointed out in her acceptance speech ‘ ......... we're both very aware of the fact that we are receiving this award on behalf of all those within the Suffolk and Lenadoon communities who were prepared to stick their heads above the parapet (in 1996) to try and find a way forward. We're very privileged to be the two that represent them.'
